I came to furniture making shortly after finishing my undergraduate degree in sculpture in 1992. Some vessel work I was doing at that time with woven wood veneers led me to find a bench space in a cooperative woodshop in Seattle, my hometown. Drawn to functionality and the reclaimed building products I found around the industrial neighborhood of my shop, I started building furniture instead.

My work has evolved from smaller works made from reclaimed materials to larger pieces, made from mostly American hardwoods to full-scale installations.

The majority of work on this site was commissioned and is therefore not available. However, many clients use the designs on this site as a starting point for their own creations. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to know more about this process, or if you would like to just stop by and check out my shop!
